Captain Sheena Glover
Creator of the Small Bites Program

Captain Sheena L Glover is a 15-year fire service veteran in Omaha, NE with over 22 years of experience in Emergency Medical Services.  Captain Glover offers a unique perspective on the fire service as the only Black female and the fourth in the department’s history. Throughout her career, Captain Glover has worked diligently addressing firefighter well-being through pushes for transparent communication, education, and strategic risk reduction. She worked hard curating, collaborating, and successfully implementing a diversity and inclusion program within her department. In addition to being a Fire Officer, Captain Glover is a Paramedic, certified Law Enforcement Officer, Fire Investigation Technician, Hazardous Materials Technician, EMS/CPR/Fire Instructor, and Peer Support Member. Captain Glover holds degrees in Fire Science and EMS and is currently working on her capstone to finish the National Fire Academy’s Managing Officer’s Program while pursuing a Master of Organizational Leadership.
